Seniors on Medicare don’t need to worry – ObamaCare does not require additonal work on their part.  Medicare is not part of the health insurance exchanges. Seniors will still get health coverage through Medicare’s traditional fee-for-service program or Medicare Advantage plans, private health insurance plans that are approved by Medicare. Those who are enrolled in Medicare Part A, which covers hospital care, or the Advantage plans will meet the health law’s mandate for individuals to have health care.

HOWEVER,  Medicare recepients will recieve more preventative care services including yearly wellness visits, mammograms, colorectal screen, and perhaps most important to seniors – they will see a shrinking of the Prescription Drug “donut hole”.   By 2020 that donut hole will be gone and Seniors will only be responsible for their 25% co-pay.
